Building the Arts
“Building the Arts” is a lego design challenge, presented by the Avalon Theatre.
It is a competition that promotes the creative and original use of LEGO bricks.
Use your own LEGO pieces to create a masterpiece and compete in a fun-filled contest and exhibition. Creations will be on display in local storefronts throughout Uptown and the Avalon website.
Prizes will be awarded based on age groups.
Those entering the contest will have their designs displayed on October 26th - November 30th.
All entries must be submitted with a fully completed official registration form.
Anyone is eligible to participate in the “Building the Arts” Lego Design Contest.
Deadline for submissions: October 24, 2020
October 24rd Entries may be delivered to 129 South Main Street 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
October 26 - November 27, 2020, Uptown Window Display
November 1, 2020 @ 1:00 pm Awards Presentation & Opening Reception at Partners Park
November 30, 2020 Entries must be picked up Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

2D These are pieces that can be hung. Any work that is to be hung MUST be wired with enough support to securely hold the piece. ARTWORK MUST HAVE A WIRE HANGER. Size and weight of the work is limited to that which can be moved by one person and no larger than 3ft high/wide.
3D All creations must be submitted on a clean and stable base of plywood, metal, etc. MUT will not be responsible for pieces that come disassembled in any way. No exceptions to these conditions will be accepted.

Entries must be your own design.
Individuals MUST enter their appropriate age category
Teams/Families MUST have a captain assigned.
Each individual may have up to three entries
MUT is not liable for any damages
The decisions of the contest judges are final.
Entries must be picked up on Saturday, November 28, 2020, from 11:00 am -1:00 pm
By submitting an entry form, and LEGO creation into the contest entrants and their parent/guardian agree to these official rules and regulations and the decision of the judges.
