The Avalon Theatre was originally opened in 1936 and has been a fixture for the Arts in Union County. When the building was obtained in 2015, we saw this as an opportunity to bring the theatre back to its historical roots. By focusing on the Arts as a whole the Avalon can support local artists while providing a beautiful space for entertainment to our entire community. With newer movies carrying higher royalty fees and regulations, choosing to show classic or older films allows the theatre to allocate funding for broader programing, which supports our mission to be a pillar for the Arts in Union County and beyond.
