Local High School Student Announced as Surprise Guest on Brittney Mack Concert

Marysville, Ohio - The excitement in Uptown Marysville is building for The Avalon Theatre’s upcoming concert featuring Broadway Star Brittney Mack.  Brittney is making her Marysville debut at The Avalon Theatre on Friday, May 24 but she won’t be appearing on stage alone!

Best known for her star turn on Broadway as the original Anna of Cleves in the Broadway production of SIX: The Musical, Brittney Mack will be shining her star on stage at The Avalon Theatre.  Brittney will be joined by her long-time musical partner/musical director and pianist Matthew Harris along with a surprise guest who was announced this week.

Guest stars are an integral part of “Putting on The Britt”, the concert performance presented by Brittney Mack.  “She is an incredible performer, and she hasn’t forgotten her roots,” Said Ryan Bowie, Executive Director of The Avalon Theatre. “Brittney is proud to highlight local performers, highlighting the incredible level of talent available right here in our own backyards”  Students at Northeastern High School learned that firsthand on Monday afternoon when Bowie called them with exciting news.

Mr. Bowie addressed the choir class, directed by Marysville resident David Wilson, and asked to speak with student Abby Skinner. “I hear you are a huge fan of SIX (the Musical)” said Bowie who went on to say “I would love to give you the opportunity to sing live on-stage with Brittney Mack!” A long-time fan of Six: The Musical, Skinner responded with a look of shock and excitement before enthusiastically accepting Mr. Bowie’s offer.

Brittney Mack is "Putting on the Britt" her critically acclaimed solo concert on Friday, May 24th at 7:00 pm featuring Abby Skinner of Northeastern High School Choir with Music Direction by Matthew Harris.
