THE AVALON THEATRE hosts a variety of events all year long, helping to deliver impactful and accessible arts programming to the Union County and Central Ohio communities.
Events range from fundraisers, to membership events, to community building activities.
THE FINAL ACT transforms Marysville’s historic Avalon Theatre into an immersive, multi-sensory psychological nightmare where you become the helpless star of a live-action horror film. Your descent begins the moment you step up to the antique ticket booth, immediately stripping away the safety of the modern world. Inside, the grand theatre has morphed into a twisted labyrinth of shifting walls, blinding lights, and forgotten 1920s spaces where the boundary between cinematic fiction and reality is violently erased.
You will be forced to navigate pitch-black corridors, claustrophobic transitions, and the auditorium itself—all while being stalked by the restless, vengeful spirits of old Hollywood who are desperate to make you a permanent part of their audience before the final credits roll.

Get out your glue guns, your sewing needles, and your wildest imagination possible for the First Annual "In Your Easter Bonnet" Competition.
Hats will be judged in multiple categories and all hats will be eligible for the “Recycled Materials” category. The judging panel will consist of staff members and/or volunteers from 3 well-known local organizations.
If you plan to participate in the competition, we ask you to write a brief description of your hat for our emcee to read aloud from the stage as you model your hat.
The Easter event will commence at 12pm on Sunday, April 13th at The Avalon Theatre. In addition to the competition this event will also include Easter Egg Dyeing, Adult Easter Basket Raffles, a Brunch Mimosa Bar, Entertainment by the Marysville Levy Jazz Band, and more.
